Brooklyn Motion Capture Dance Ensemble
The Brooklyn Motion Capture Dance Ensemble is an organization dedicated to breathing life into emerging forms of artistic expression. Based on the belief that all people should have the facility and confidence to express themselves, BMCDE is committed to expanding who is considered an artist, and sonically empowering all movers through the exploration of technology-based experience. The ensemble is lead by Brian Ellis, Artistic Director, and Erin Landers, Movement Director. Company members include Sophie Delphis, Zack Gonderand Mary Mark.

Courtney Murray
Courtney Murray originally from Colorado, where she danced professionally for six years and trained for twenty, in virtually every style. She has been a company member of Rogue Dance CO., The Schiff Dance Collective, Blue Moon Dance Company, Sammy J. Dance and a current member of Borne Dance Company. She was chosen for Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester Program where she received the Best Choreography Award for her year. Her choreography has been featured at Boulder Creek Festival, The Schiff Dance Collective showcases, Blue Moon Dance Company performances, Christopher Palacio Dance Project, Peridance Capezio Center’s Faculty and Student Showcase, and dance competitions. She moved to New York to pursue a dance career in 2014, and has been performing and teaching in the New York area ever since!

Amy Zhang
Amy Zhang is a musician, sound designer, and videographer. She provides piano accompaniment for dance classes, arranges music for piano, and teaches privately. As a sound designer, she composes and edits audio for film and video. Amy holds an M.A. in Ethnomusicology (’12) and an M.Phil in Architecture History and Theory (’17) from Columbia University. She draws upon her research training as one half of Parsing Practice architecture research collaborative, where she focuses on soundscape and acoustics.
